Let’s see how you ladies and gents do with this one. Tonight you have a four vehicle garage with the theme being every vehicle must have a different number of cylinders . But like Ford, let’s go further:
All vehicles must have a different number of cylinders.
All vehicles must be MY 2016 to 2018 .
All vehicle horsepower ratings must be between 350hp and 420hp . *feel free to convert to the measurement that applies to your market (numbers given are for US market)*
All vehicle brands must be from different countries .
There you go, Oppo. Enjoy ya’selves!

That’s the point! I like limits that force people to look at cars they don’t think of. Plus it’s an interesting range because it’s too high and too low. Both that M3 and the D3 ratings would be barely too much and too little to qualify, crazy!

as a suggestion for a next dream garage: all cars must be over 4,500 pounds, or maybe you’ve done something like that already, but you must have at least a track car and a weekend fun car

Will do! Also, feel free to do your own dream garages, that way I can participate too! (I never get to share my lists since I don’t want to influence the choices).
I mostly wait around to see what Amoore100 comes up with for these. I always learn something new from their choices.

I have to have different numbers of cylinders in every car...so naturally I would want a 10 or 12 cylinder for one, but you cap the hp at 420. And good luck finding a MY 2016-18 10 or 12 cylinder car making less than 420 HP, the 2016 S600 makes the least at 523hp.
So my choices are 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 cylinders? I reject your premise if the whole point is variety in cylinder count.

I thought about all those cars except the Jaaag. I keep forgetting the US is getting the XE. Shame on me!

If you liked trucks, the 3-valve 6.8l Ford V10 is in that range. But you could go no-cylinders, the 3-cyl i8 is in that range, plenty of crazy 4-cyls including the top XC90, a couple of mean 5-cyls, tons of V6s including upcoming vehicles, and Japanese/Korean V8s. You are out of luck on V12s though sadly. Sorry, we have to make compromises!

Thats the goal! Whenever I do these, I do some research in order to make up the guidelines, then I hope you guys do more research so that I have a miniature database of cars that fit the criteria to each of these garages.
I always have some personal motives with these!

Though I think the Mustang and the Lexus may not be in the horsepower range. I try to make these pretty tricky.

Buh, that engine is why I’m not interested in the IS at all. Shoulda kept the Jag and said that Tata motors is not British lol
The Mustang engine however, can easily be tuned to Focus RS levels with a code change.
Try to stay in the rules or else it’s not as fun or challenging

Jaguar XF R
Titan XD Diesel
Focus RS
This wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. I started with the ecoboost raptor, E550, and Infinity Q60 coup but then realized that the ford and Infinity had the same cylinder count so I edited it to this.

4 cylinder: 2017 Volvo V60 Polestar, 362 hp
5 cylinder: 2017 Audi TT RS, 400 hp
6 cylinder: 2017 Lincoln MKZ 3.0T, 400 hp
8 cylinder: 2016 Lexus LS460L, 386 hp
Had one hell of a time deciding cars. There was always a country conflict somewhere. Nice challenge.

I think the Viper would be overkill as well. I believe it has All Of The Horsepower. I was trying to find a 5 cylinder car from those MY's, but couldn't immediately think of one, much less one that meets the HP boundary.

This was an interesting one, but I think I’m happy with my end result...
4 Cylinders + Hybrid, 408bhp, from Sweden:
Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription
5 Cylinders, 394bhp, from Deutschland:
New Audi TTRS
6 Cylinders, 380bhp, from the UK:
Jaguar F-Type V6S Manual
8 Cylinders, 420bhp, from South Korea:
Kia K9
This was one of my favourite challenges yet, it took a lot of research but it’s very satisfying. Thanks for posting this.
Shame there’s no new Rotary yet for Mazda, it would be a perfect candidate for zero cylinders.
